Longtime gardeners, Stephen and Linda Gard learned that hardscape elevates a pleasant landscape to an outstanding garden design. While creating hardscape for their own gardens by preserving natural beauty in concrete, the creative spark for Kalorama Gardens was born. Kalorama means "beautiful view" in old Greek. Helping others create beautiful views became their mission for this new business.
If you are looking for that special concrete leaf, they have a wide range of concrete designs in various media and finishes to help turn your home and garden decor from ordinary into extraordinary. Their hand-crafted art has an inspiring beauty that draws from a variety of influences, including whimsical and natural elements.
The business continues to evolve. Stephen has a passion for things that are uncommon and grand in scale. He is 6' 6" so that may explain his love of the large and unique! This includes his large collection of daylilies. A selection will be available Summer 2012. Stephen and Linda will be shifting their emphasis to daylilies, shrubs and perennials and away from concrete.
